Denver Health is tackling some of the city’s biggest challenges, like housing and homelessness and health equity.
Denver Health provides crucial healthcare services to nearly 1/3 of Denver’s population, including many of its most vulnerable residents. It is the only health system in the metro area that treats people regardless of insurance status or ability to pay, putting fair and equitable access to quality healthcare before its bottom line.
Despite the financial challenges, Denver Health finds ways to advocate for and improve on issues that affect our patients, our team and our community.
Denver Health’s Social and Economic Change Initiatives
To truly care for all in our community, Denver Health addresses other determinants of health through social and economic initiatives. This
aligns with being a community partner and an anchor institution.
Denver Health combines hospital and emergency care with public and community health services to deliver preventive, primary and acute care services. This integration promotes continuity of care for each patient in the most efficient, cost-effective setting. Denver Health cares for the health of inmates and others through its Correctional Care for the City and County of Denver.
